Hey! Fish cutlets is something new I tried last weekend. It was a short notice that M decided to have fish for dinner and the frozen Hoki fillets were treated a bit harshly when we decided to thaw them just quickly! The fillets ended up broken in bits and I so decided I was going to make patties or cutlets using the fish bits and pieces. So, grabbed a few spices and turned the fish into these delicious fish cutlets! Follow the recipe below or try some ingredients of your own, you’ll love these crisp little cutlets any day!!
Cuisine: Oriental | Cooking time: 20-30 mins | Serves – 2-3
Fish fillets – 4 or .5 Kg
Black pepper powder – 1 tsp
Salt – according to taste
Flour – 2 tbsp
Red chilli powder – 1tsp
Tandoori masala powder – 1 tbsp
Garam Masala powder – 1/4 tsp
Eggs – 2
Fresh coriander leaves
Boil the fillets in water with some salt. Remove when done. Cool and flake the fillets.
Add all the spice powders specified in the ingredients. Add beaten eggs and chopped coriander leaves. Mix well with your hands.
Rub a little oil in your palms and divide the fish into equal sized balls. Flatten the balls to make patty.
Heat oil in a non stick pan to shallow fry.
Fry the cutlets turning each side until golden brown.
Serve with dip or sauce!
